After discharge following major surgery, a transplant or a stroke, patients need extra support and care to recover. Infection is the biggest risk, so a sanitized environment with nurses monitoring them 24/7 is essential. The high-dependency unit at PapayaCare comes fully equipped to offer hospital-like care with continuous vital sign checks. Facilities such as insulin injections, wound dressing, catheterization, nasogastric (Ryle’s) tube feeding, tracheostomy care, oxygen support, hospital beds, air mattresses, suction machines, nebulizers, physiotherapy and our own ambulance service are all available. Accompanying family members can also stay with the patient if needed.
